Those scripts are purposely placed where they are because of the way the map script operates.

Hello Chris,

Actually after some further investigation I found that 16 of the 29 above were related to a jquery ui plugin I was testing. So, the site has speeded up a bit since deactivating it but I was wondering if it is still possible to put the script elements below the actual page elements or will this not work?

Not sure about the 29 scripts, etc. That must be something generated by Google.

I have been doing some page speed tests and the results are pretty low. Seems like the following is the main culprit:

Your page has 29 blocking script resources and 10 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.

I presume this is due mostly to the map. So, is there anyway to re-order the page elements so that content (menus, page content etc) loads first and then the javascript loads in the background? Also, is it possible to move the javascript elements down the list?

I get a score of 47/100 on mobile and 60/100 on desktop with Google page speed. I have Super cache installed but this didn't help much. At the moment I only have 1 pin on the map so I am concerned that as I increase these the page loading time will be much slower.
