I just tested and can confirm that the size should be increased, but try this in your custom CSS instead...

.nextPrevPaginate {
    height: 20px;
    padding: 5px;
    top: -6px;
}

That should definitely increase the click size.

I understand that it should have increased the pixel height of the arrows, but it didn't. They actually didn't change at all.

Just to clarify, my suggestion above was to increase the size of the buttons/arrows, not turn them into the same style buttons as in the header.

Did my suggestion not increase the size? If so, please provide a link to your site and I'll take a look (it should have increased the clickable area of the arrows).

Looking into this, I see the height could use some increasing for the buttons. Try increasing the height by adding the following to your custom CSS panel in the theme options...

.nextPrevPaginate {height:20px}

I found that the little left/right arrows (from inserting a page break) to change pages within one main page are a little hard to tap on an iPad. Is there way way to turn them into actual buttons like the pagenation link buttons instead of the little arrows?
