Thanks Chris..I was just checking!
And just in case, I thought I was being clever by marking a post as private. But that doesn't remove the calendar item or make it hidden, it just marks it as private. Draft is the way to go.

Hi there,

The page you linked to is a category page. When viewing a category page, there will be an "expired" notice to let users know the event has passed. If you don't want the post to appear on category pages, you'll need to either put the post in "draft" status or delete the post entirely.

When I say "calendar", I'm referring to the eventure calendar shown on the home page. Reference: http://calendar.world-eats.org/ -- When you view the calendar on your home page, you'll notice all the expired posts are hidden.

Best,

Chris

Ciao. I'm on version 1.4.1 so my older posts should expire, but they aren't.
Or maybe I'm not saying this correctly. The event shows as 'expired', but it hasn't been removed from the calendar.
Is there something else I need to be doing? I've gone through the various threads on the
forum, but got a bit confused as some of the posts were older than the 1.4.0 version.
Many thanks.

Hi there,

As of version 1.4.0, the theme will hide posts from the calendar that have expired (i.e. the date of the event is older than today's date).

When viewing a category page, there will be an "expired" notice to let users know the event has passed.

If you don't want the post to appear on category pages, you'll need to either put the post in "draft" status or delete the post entirely.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

I have the same question! Do we need to manually remove the featured image for each out of date event?

When an event is over, does the calendar do anything? Or is it necessary to go in and delete or archive each item that is out of date? Just wondered...
