You bet!

I'll look into this and see if there is a better solution to handle expired posts in the slider...

Best,

Yes, that worked, thanks!

Now to find a plugin or something that will do that automatically... :)

Hi there,

Try removing the slider category from the expired posts.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Um oops take the three periods of that URL to see it. Also, not sure if helps, but if I change ASC to DESC in the new slider.php it works again, so it looks like expired stuff is still trying to come up.

Thanks so much for the quick response and update! But as soon as I applied the update the slider lost all content again. You can see it here: http://www.thecinemabar.com...

Hi there,

I see what you mean.

I'll put together a theme update that displays posts in ASC order and hides expired events.

Be sure you have notifications turned on via ThemeForest profile settings to get an email when the update is available.

Stay tuned...

Best,

Christopher

OK, prob happened because of expired events not displaying. Is there any way to have the slider ignore expired events and start from today's date ascending? The solution posted lower in the FAQ seems to work only with an older version of slider.php...

Not sure if this is a new problem but I just implemented the FAQ slider code for ascending order and the slider content completely disappeared (except for the arrows). Reverting to the old code (no "order=ASC") brought the slider back. Any ideas why this might have happened? Thanks!

Right now the order of the images/posts on the home page slider is controlled by the date of the event. So, the latest date/furthest from present is what displays first. We would instead like to present the next event first and/or have more control over what event displays. Is there this ability in eventure?
