It doesn't work for me, I've got this code:

$showPostsInCategory = new WP_Query(); $showPostsInCategory->query('cat='.$homeCat.'&showposts='.$showposts);

And if I put a number like $homeCat.'&showposts=8' the website is down...

So, how can I change the number of posts to display please??

Thank you Chris, that was actually 8 initially. One other thing: now I would need to adjust the high of the module (category on the homepage). Where can I do that?

change where it says showposts

I'm almost done.
Where can I change the number of posts to display in the slider. It shows 10 posts, I would like 5 only. Any idea? Thx!
