It would appear to be... other than having to go back and enter in the lat/long (glad I only have about 25 to do) it appears everything is working fine now. I'll finish that up in the next day or so and re-test. I'll shoot you a quick message to let you know when it's all square. I'll also be sure to post some good feedback -- your help has been invaluable!!! :)

Thanks again!

Hi there,

It's possible you had a post with missing/incorrect location data. This could result in the locations after that to stop loading.

Is this issue resolved now? Let me know.

Best,

Very interesting. Just tried entering in both the street address and lat/long for one location and it worked. It didn't need it earlier. I wonder what changed.

No other plugins installed. Only WP super cache is installed. Under the read settings, # of entries is set to 200... more than enough for the 54 entries currently in the system.

This is very interesting, too... all of my pins (posts) for New Zealand and Australia have disappeared. They all appeared before... well, it fluctuated some but most appeared.

As street addresses are valid with New Zealand and Australia in google maps, I simply entered those in for each post. I didn't bother to enter in the lat/long. In other parts of the world I'm traveling (Indonesia, for example), street addresses in google maps seem, at best, wildly unpredictable. As such, I entered in hard lat/long.

Do you think this would have an effect? Weird that it was fine a few hours ago and not now....

Going to try what you just sent me and see if it has any impact.

Got it. I see it now.

Yeah, it's stuck at 26 for me too. Couple things to try...

1. Make sure you have all your plugins deactivated (except the WP Super Cache plugin).

2. Make sure your "reading" settings (dashboard > settings > reading) is set to a large number so that all posts will be displayed.

Let me know if that has any impact.

Best,

Thanks, Chris. I've actually been activating and deactivating some things to try to determine the cause. At the moment, it's not active. I'll reactivate in a moment and message you back. Sorry for the delay... didn't realize you were diagnosing from afar. :)

For whatever reason, I now seem stuck on 26 pins.... Grrrr....

Hi there,

Looking at your site source code, I don't see that the plugin is active and in use on your site. Please double-check that you have the plugin settings properly configured.

Let me know and I'll take another look.

Best,

Thanks, Chris. I just installed the plugin and the problem persists. :(

I made all of the recommended settings. I'd be happy to share my admin login if you'd like to poke around.

Hi there,

Glad you're enjoying the theme!

That's really odd. I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm inclined to think it has to do with loading times or hosting. The first thing we'll want to do is try and decrease the amount of memory/loading.

To do this, I recommend using the WP Super Cache plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/

Install/activate that and be sure to review all the plugin settings/options and take note of the "recommended" items.

Let me know if that has any impact on the number of items that display on the home page.

Best,

Chris

First and foremost: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this theme! I've been searching for something like it for months and was so excited to stumble upon it!

I'm using the theme to blog a round-the-world trip. Before I even leave, however, I'm trying to show all of the places that I'll be staying as numbered markers. The theme works perfectly in this regard but something strange has happened as the number of pins (i.e. posts) has increased.

After having made no changes at all, sometimes the home page loads with 40 pins, sometimes with 46, sometimes with 38, etc... I've not changed any of the map settings or added anything new. It appears to be random.

Here is the site:

http://www.sansstuff.com

Grateful for any insights you can offer!

Bryan
