Hi there,

To remove it from the front page as well, open archive.php and remove the same content on line 18.

Hmm. It is deleted within the post but not at the front page. Also, the option for 'focus mode' has disapeared.

I Would like the post in the frontpage and in the post to say: geschreven door (name of category) op (date). And nothing more. And i would like to keep the 'focus mode' button with it.

----
I managed to make 'geschreven door (name author)' but if i add (time) with that is suddenly puts it on another line, underneath it. How can i put this all in one line?

Hello

I deleted the following line

<div class="postInfo"><?php _e('Geschreven door','themolitor'); the_author(); _e(' on ','themolitor'); the_time('M jS, Y'); _e(' in ','themolitor'); the_category(', '); ?></div>

But the text under the title is still there. I still says, posted by, on etc.

Hi there,

I appreciate the feedback. Can you share a link to your site? I'll check it out so I can see how you're using the theme. I might get some ideas that way.

Thanks!

Hi, Chris.

Thank you for your reply and help. I have made the changes as you suggested and the appearance has improved. However, it is still not exactly what I had hoped for a page flip document.

I think your theme looks great and is certainly the one that gets the closest to a page flip document appearance with the easy set-up typical of Wordpress. I think if you were to add the features that would allow the Novelist to be converted into a page flip magazine or booklet it would appeal to a large number of users who need this type of theme.

I will add the customization request using the link you provided.

Thank you again for your help.

Joe.

Hi there,

1. This theme uses column styling, so your images are only filling half the page. To remove column styling, open "style.css" and remove the following on lines 462-472...

.entry {
	-moz-column-count: 2;
	-webkit-column-count: 2;
	column-count: 2;
	-moz-column-gap: 60px;
	-webkit-column-gap: 60px;
	column-gap:60px;
	-moz-column-rule: 1px dashed #eee;
	-webkit-column-rule: 1px dashed #eee;
	column-rule: 1px dashed #eee;
}

2. To edit/remove text under the title, open "single.php" and locate the following on line 16...

<div class="postInfo">Posted by <?php the_author();?> on <?php the_time('M jS, Y') ?> in <?php the_category(', '); ?></div>

3. Regarding buttons and controls, you'll need to submit a customization request for that. You can use this form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope that helps!

Hi, Chris.

I just purchase this theme (novelist) and like it quite a bit. It’s really well designed. I wish to use it as a replacement for a PDF document that I want to be displayed on this theme as a page flip document. I’ve tried to place images of my PDF pages on the posts or pages but haven’t been able to get a good result. Some pages appear reduced in size and not centered (although I placed them in a center position).

How can I use this site to display my PDF pages (my document has 16 pages) so that my target audience can read my PDF pages as if they were flipping the pages of a magazine ?

One of the problems I encountered was the fact that the pages were not displayed in a size large enough for good and comfortable reading. I tried to enlarge the browser window but the size of the pages didn’t seem to follow and remained small. How can this be changed so that the size of the pages will enlarge along with the browser window ?

I also need to remove any other piece of information from the page. I couldn’t find a way to remove the name of the poster, the date of the post and a few other pieces that appeared.

In addition it would be nice to have a some navigation button or controls on the page as well as a button to allow viewers to download the document in PDF format.

I would appreciate your help and guidance on how to properly configure this really nice theme.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Joe.
