Hi there,

My best suggestion is to activate the parent theme and see if that works. If it does, we'll at least be able to isolate the issue to the child theme setup and then can go from there.

Doesn't work if I modify the index.php file in the theme.

I'm using a child theme and I've copied the index.php file in the child theme folder and tried the three different modifications

if($id){
or
if(is_front_page() && $id){
or
if(isset($id)){

and hasn't work either. Any other idea?

and with...

Open up index.php and change the following on line 7 from this...

if(is_front_page() && $id != ''){

...to this...

if($id){

Hi, under "static front page" I have set to display the latest posts and "page to display above map" = to my welcome page, but in the home I don't see the welcome message.

Hi there,

Nice! Yeah, looks like updating the theme with additional features requires that you save the new options to your database in order for it to register.

Regarding the welcome message, you can select the page you want to use under the "static front page" section on the customize page.

Try changing something on the customize page, change it back and then click save.

I tried deactivated all plugins I added but still no map.

All options seem OK.

If this helps, when I'm in the customize page I can see the map and all the posts in the home page preview. Any idea?
