Only basic text can display in the excerpt and content_rss functions. You'll need to use the full <?php the_content();?> function for anything other than basic text.

If you continue to have trouble with the plugin, I'll have to ask that you request support from the plugin developer since I cannot provide much help with code I didn't develop.

Hi there - I'm in a slightly similar situation. I would like to have an audio player show in an excerpt. I can't figure it out and the instructions above were the closest I have found. I have tried the above change, and it does open up the excerpts to a full post (thank you for posting the two php files).

However, the audio player still doesn't show. This is the audio player I have installed http://wpaudioplayer.com/ and their documentation states that the excerpts might be stripped - I can't figure it out. Any ideas? I'm stumbling around.. Thank you so much for your help... I'm sure it's an easy answer for you :)

Look in the "index.php" and "archive.php" template files.

I'm not seeing <?php the_content_rss();?> anywhere.
All I see is <?php the_content();?>.

Currently it's using the <?php the_content_rss();?> function, which allows us to restrict the amount of content displayed.

If you replace that with <?php the_content();?>, this will display the full post.
