Hi there,

The pin is not showing in the source code. Can you confirm you don't have any spaces or anything in the input field?

Have you checked the customize page to make sure that input field is empty?

If everything looks right, try putting this in for your site-wide pin on the Customize page...

http://skatehikebike.com/wp-content/themes/wpnavigator/images/pin.png

Let me know if using that helps.

Best,

Thanks again for your prompt reply. I am again sorry to be taking up so much of your time. I have gone back to making only one post. I did not fill out the bottom three input fields (Custom Marker Image URL,Background Image URL, and Custom Map Link URL) as I am pretty sure they are optional? Everything else is filled in and it is still showing the red circle without a pin. Here's a link to the post on the admin side (http://skatehikebike.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=165&action=edit) and the regular website with the solo post: skatehikebike.com. Thank you again for your time.
sincerely
James

Hi there,

Keep your posts in draft status and try creating a new item. Be sure to provide info for ALL input fields. If that still doesn't work, please provide a link with JUST that post active and I'll take a look.

Best,

Thanks for the suggestion. I put all my posts into draft status and one by one started trying them again, but every single one is still a red circle without a proper pin. I've watched all your videos on youtube about the navigator theme and have been trying all weekend to imagine what the problem could be, but nothing has come to fruition. Is there anything in particular in my input that could be blocking it? I follow your 'creating new map item' video step by step and use the latitude/longitude site to pinpoint the location. Would it have anything to do with the custom Molitor pin on the custom fields section? I'm sorry to be taking up so much of your time I am just pulling my hair out trying to correct this.
Thanks,
James

Hi there,

Try putting all your location posts into "draft" status. Then, one-by-one change them to publish, making sure to check the map each time you re-publish a post. This way you can narrow down to which post is causing the issue.

Please let me know if that helps.

Best,

Thank you for your prompt reply I've been playing with my location posts continuously for the past few days and can't seem to find any reason why there is still a red circle instead of a pin for every post. Is there anything else I can try or that would be blocking the pin? The location is right it's just not showing the correct marker. Thanks

Hi there,

The theme code and layout appears to be functioning properly, which seems to indicate there might be an issue with the location details of your post (or maybe an issue with one of your inputs).

Please review each of your posts to confirm there are no issues with the info you provided in the Custom Fields.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi Chris,
Im sorry to bother you, but I continue to have this problem with no pins showing up even after updating to 2.2.5. If there's anyway you could look at my site to tell me why the red circle persists instead of a proper pin I would greatly appreciate it. My site is skatehikebike.com. Thanks!
sincerely,

Excellent! Hope you're enjoying the theme :-)

If you haven't already, please don't forget to rate the theme on your downloads page. Positive ratings really help me out and encourage further theme development/updates.

Best,

Hi there,

I released an update yesterday (version 2.2.3). See if using that version has any impact.

Hi,

I have installed The navigator theme on three servers. Actually I'm working with two development servers. Only my developers have access. The live server is still not open for the public.

On my live server I have no problems with the pins but on the two development servers the pins don't appear on the maps. Not in IE11 and not in chrome.
When I hover over a post-title then there appears a ring over the location point on the map. But no pin!

But...when I go to the admin dashboard and go to Appearance/customize then the pins appear on the map. This works on the three servers!

So basically it works accept on the live website!!

One of the development servers is at the same hosting company with the same(latest) WP version etc...than the live server.
The second development server is hosted elsewhere but with the same (latest)WP version. I have not yet installed any other plugin so there cannot be any interference.

Can you give me a hint on were to start searching for the solution to this problem?

Regards,
Mario
