Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback!

Now that WordPress has released a built-in "Theme Customizer" feature, my goal ultimately is to release an update that completely removes the OptionTree system from this theme.

I'll be sure to post an update here in the forums when I'm able to do that.

Thanks!

Chris

Resolved! When I turned off "define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', true);" in wp-config.php, everything works as expected when I access the admin pages via http. But I must say this is highly undesirable when it comes to security. I'm going to take the extra hassle and turn SSL on, and off again only when the situation makes it absolutely necessary. Maybe a word to the plug-in creator about enabling it for https also?

I'm still digging here. FYI: Running the process through Firebug give me this JavaScript error when I click the "Send to OptionTree"-button:

NS_ERROR_FAILURE: Failure
[Break On This Error]
http.send();
.../wp-content/themes/wppolitico/option-tree/assets/js/ot-admin.js?ver=2.0.12 (line 465)

Seems like a failed AJAX call.

I am using SSL (https) for my admin pages, of course. Relevant for the situation?

Hmm. I did more than that. I cleaned out all the tables, deleted the complete file structure and reinstalled WP (ver 3.5.1) from scratch. The site functions as expected.

I then installed the Politico theme first thing. No errors. Activated the theme. No errors. Theme options -> Logo & Colors -> Add media: I select the media file, click "Send to OptionTree"-button. Blank overlay. I close overlay, and no path in the input-box. No logo.

The same result for the "parent"-theme, and the child-theme (I always use child-themes).

I host my own virtual private server, with Centos enterprise distro, Apache and PHP. I have complete control over the configuration. Any suggestions?

Anders

Hi there,

I'm moving this to the WordPress forum for this theme as you posted this thread in the HTML version...

OptionTree is not suppose to be activated as it's already included with the theme as of version v1.2.0 (08.09.2012). Installing/activating the plugin may cause problems and database conflicts (a plugin flaw, not a theme flaw).

Additionally, you'll want to use the "WP Database Reset" plugin to clean up the wp-options table in your database after deleting the plugin.

Make sure your database AND website files are backed up before you make any changes.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks!

Chris

My logo-file is in the media library, a png-image. OptionTree is activated. allow_url_fopen=ON in PHP.ini. GD-module enabled in PHP (required for getImageSize() function to work). The image URL is linked to the file. But still not able to get the logo show up. In the overlay, the "Send to OptionTree"-button is the only option. When I click this button, the overlay turns white and nothing more happen. I have also manually typed in the path to the the logo image in the input-box, to no avail. Obviously, a blog-theme for this particular field of work without a logo, is not an option. So what is the next step?
