Create a category for the slider, for example "featured". On the theme setting page, enter "featured" in the slider category section. Create a post, upload an image, and assign the post the "featured" category.

I am having difficulty just figuring out how to get a picture on my front page

Yes. I checked with the host.. all is okay.

As it turns out I was using the url from other websites outside of the hosting server and it didnt work correctly. when i used images within the hosting server all is well and works.

BUT.. how do i get the post to line up in three x three sets like in the the demo?

Still i dont see the actaul image post on the homepage...

What am I missing??
