You need to create 4 separate "Posts" assigned to your Slider Category, each Post will have it's own featured image.

Hi, I can't get the slider to slide. I have 4 pictures, one chosen as "featured image" as it doesn't allow more than one to be the featured image... Do I need a URL of some sort?

Tembotrading - You should use the Video Walk-through to help get the Theme properly setup as well. For starters, you need to setup a Footer menu. To help expedite the process, try going to Tools > Import > Wordpress and upload the Demo Content xml file that comes with your theme. While this support is for Theme problems, I can't troubleshoot a broken slider until the rest of the theme is properly setup. Those couple suggestions should help get you up and running.

I am also fairly new but had a similar experience so maybe I can help save you some time.

When you are in the "dashboard" of WordPress you have the option to create a new "Post" which is what allows you to load images, video and of course post new articles.

In order to load photos into the slider on the Home Page you have to first create "Slider" as a category. Go to Posts and under Add New category, type in slider and save by hitting the button at the bottom "add new category.

Next, go to Posts >> Add New. Scroll to where you click on the Upload/Insert command just above the blank post, then you can select photos from your From Computer, From URL, or Media library depending on where you have them stored.

Once you choose an image, you need to go over to the box of categories and select the Slider option that you just created. Then scroll down Features Image and click "Set featured image" and it will show up inside the slider.

I haven't figured out yet if you can do more than one at a time and how you can control the order the photos appear.

Hi, I apologize for being a total newbie to wordpress. I'm savvy at building sites in photoshop and some web templates, but this is new. Using the Aid site, I don't understand how to load the pictures for the slider page. I created a new post, and added photos, and separately went into theme options and assigned "slider" category. Just really lost here. The help documents I've seen seem to assume a greater knowledge of wordpress, and reading through wordpress help is not assisting me with images.
