Hi there,

I recommend using a recent post widget plugin with more advanced options that let you select a category display. There should be a lot of options in the plugin directory, so I recommend searching there.

Regarding the "latest" posts section, that is a category that you can control on the Customize page. You can assign your main recipe category there so that only recipe posts display.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Chris

Got it. Thanks. As you say, that seems to be the main trick.

But it looks like the *most recent* includes ALL Posts, but I don't want that. I want the most recent to be filtered by category as well to only include "blog" posts - not recipes. I have my 5 most recent posts on the RHS of my website, but I want that to only have blog posts. Actually the BEST approach for me would be to have the 5 most recent Blogs and underneath that, the 5 most recent recipe updates. It does not look like I can do that.

My website is linck.net.

Hi there,

It's all about using categories effectively. Be sure to have a main "recipes" category and a main "blog" category.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

I am pretty new to WordPress. I am doing a website that has my personal blog (non-recipe/cooking related) and I am including a recipe book. I am using the kitchen table theme.

It looks like recipes get *mixed in* with other blog posts so the non-recipe posts appear in the list with he recipes. How do I keep these separate and only have recipes in the recipe part of the site?
