I see - it's just a bit odd, that it will scroll back and forth fast as long as I haven't clicked a pic yet. Simply because the arrow is then always interpreted as either the end or the beginning.

Hi there,

I'm not sure why that matters either, but I still don't see that issue occurring when viewing your site.

Just to clarify, clicking left when you're at the beginning and right when you're at the end will always scroll fast because it's "jumping" from one end to the other.

Best,

Chris

Forgot to mention : When I set it back to default, by removing custom css:
div#leftSmall {visibility: hidden !important;}
div#rightSmall {visibility: hidden !important;}
div#reference {visibility:hidden !important;}

it works fine.

What I don't get: how can visibility:hidden cause this issue ?

Thanks for the compliment.

In the galleries I didn't do any heavy customization - just set the reference slider to visibility:hidden. So actually it should work normally.

To replicate the issue : Enter the gallery, don't click on any picture and click first on the left side -> the pictures slide all through in fast speed. Still don't click on any picture and click now on the right side - the pics will slide back in fast speed. After that click on one pic and everything is back to normal.

Hi there,

Wow, that's a neat look you've achieved!

I'm not seeing any difference in speed when using right/left arrows before and after clicking an image. Were you able to resolve this issue?

Please keep in mind, my ability to provide support is limited to default setups of the theme. If there have been customizations made to the template files, I'll have to ask that you retrace your edits. If you continue to have trouble, please test a default setup to make sure your edits didn't cause any issues with the theme.

Hope you understand.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

http://martin.doyle.gallery/category/woodwork/

The reference slider is set to visibility:hidden for achieving a somehow more realistic touch of a gallery room. Navigational elements are solely the left/right arrows.
But there is now one issue : When the left/right arrow is used BEFORE having clicked on one of the pictures, all pictures just slide through in fast speed. After having clicked on one of the pics everything is fine.

I guess this happens because there is no reference for the starting condition.

How can I solve this issue ?

Cheers
Peter
