Hi Steve,

With Firefox's Firebug, use the Inspect Element tool to select/inspect the widget in your sidebar. In Firebug's Edit pane you'll see the ID of the widget. Using that ID number, add the code that Chris suggests into style.css:

#text-X h2.widgettitle {display:none;}

(where "text-X" is the ID of the text widget, and X is the particular number of your widget)

Chris makes it easy to see where the sidebar code is by labeling it

/*-----SIDEBAR STUFF----*/

Hope that helps -
Dan

Hello, I am looking to remove the title from some of my widgets but I do not know where to find the id of the widget - as in your example above, where do I find the "text-7" id?

Many thanks Steve

Would putting multiple images in a single text box work? Then you could just grab the id of that text widget and add something like the following to the "style.css" file...

#text-7 h2.widgettitle {display:none;}

(where "text-7" is the ID of the text widget).

Ah, okay. Putting the Image Widget aside, does the University theme allow for displaying multiple images in the sidebar? I've just inserted several images using the "Text" widget on this page: http://www.mesasheville.com/?page_id=676

I saw in another thread that titles are necessary for displaying sidebar content correctly, so these images have titles. It would be ideal if it were possible to display images without titles, particularly on other pages where I might simply insert images of kids at school, etc.

I'm sorry for the continuing thread. I'll go away soon :)

Dan

[oops, accidentally posted this response in another thread...]

Hi Dan,

Oh, yeah, unfortunately I don't provide support for plugins. Sorry. Maybe the plugin has a support channel? It sounds like something specific to the way that plugin is developed.

P.S. Thanks! :-)

Hi,

I'm sorry, along the way I guess I brought in that plugin (I use it all the time) and then assumed it was part of the original theme. doh... Image Widget is from the WordPress Plugin Directory: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-widget/

I'm dragging Image Widget into your Page Widgets. The first inserted image displays fine but dragging in subsequent Image Widgets seems to be creating a little havoc.

Sorry, maybe it's not compatible with University.

Dan

p.s. LOVE your MOLITOR logo. I always thought the little helmet was cool, and then only recently realized it's comprised of a T and an M. Simply brilliant.

I'm not sure what you mean by "image widget". Is that a plugin?

Having an issue inserting more than one image widget in the sidebar. Inserting a second image widget places it below the first, however it's noticeably staggered to the left. Inserting a third image widget breaks the page.

Thanks for any help. Love the theme.
