Hi there,

As I only speak one language, I'm only aware of what is required in order to make a theme translation ready. Without getting too technical, I've located every word or sentence that appears on the front-end of the theme and wrapped it in some PHP and referenced it in the .POT file (in the languages folder).

When it comes to actually translating the theme, that is considered a customization because there are so many different ways to do it and so many different languages to translate. With plugins, they *should* be able to locate this text that is referenced in the .POT file and translate that.

If you're experiencing issues using a plugin, it's likely due to how the plugin works and not with the actual theme - especially since you're having trouble translating navigation menu text, which is controlled 100% by WordPress and not the theme.

If the solution was something I knew off the top of my head I would gladly help, but if it requires a bit of research, testing and custom code then I have to refer you to either the plugin developer's support channels or my customization request form: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi,

please have a look on my site:
http://www.vinauctio.com/dev

I use qtranslate plugin to have 3 languages, and my content is almost complete, but I see the content only on default language, not on secondaries 2. Also, the menu icons does not appear in navigation in 2 languages.

Also, I would like to have language chooser in the navigation.

Could you help me to solve this?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Irina
