Hi there,

I submitted an update that should help with the child theme issues you're having. Be sure your ThemeForest notification settings are turned on so that you can get notified (via email) when the update is available.

Best,

Hi there,

I'm looking into this now. I see some things that need updating. I'll likely put together an updated version of the theme that should be available for download today/tomorrow.

My apologies Christopher. I have re-activated the Parent and both the menu and the Slideshowshow now show nicely on mobile. However, it now does not pass Google's mobile friendly checker:

See: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=reagansvoice.com

This is important for organic search rankings and traffic.

So perhaps I did not make the child theme correctly(I was so confident I had!) so I could use your advice on

a.) making the Parent Theme pass Google's test and
b.) properly setting up the Child theme so the Menu works, the slideshow auto sizes and the child will pass Google's mobile friendly test.

Thanks again for the ongoing patience and continued help!!! I am close to having the theme fully working - I feel it. I just need a bit more help.

I have tried deactivating various plugins and could not find a culprit. I am not currently using the child theme, but rather the parent. I have made a backup using upDraft Plus, so you are free to poke around.

I noticed 2 things on mobile version as well: 1.) Main navigation does not appear and 2.)Slideshow only works in landscape mode, not portrait.

Please let me know what you find. We are so close, and now that Nancy Reagan has died my clients voice impersonation business and site may be timely and relevant.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

Your site is behaving very strangely. I see you're using a child theme, which is considered a customization. In order for me to troubleshoot any issues, I'll have to ask that you use a default setup of the theme as I would need to rule out your edits as the cause of the issue you're having.

Also, be sure to deactivate plugins you have installed while troubleshooting any issues.

Let me know if you continue to have issues after reverting to a default setup.

Best,

Christopher

#1 WAS a problem created by using an embedded YouTube video in the slideshow (too bad, I wanted a video to work in the slideshow)

#2 - I still do not know how to make DualSlider more size mobile friendly.

Last couple questions (I hope!) BTW you rock for helping out.

1.) I passed the Google mobile friendly test https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/?url=reagansvoice.com
BUT it says: This page uses 2 resources which are blocked by robots.txt (www.reagansvoice.com/robots.txt is EMPTY) which it shows as:
https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/id
https://static.doubleclick.net/…_status.js

So where is this google code coming from that the testing tool is complaining about?

3.) How do I make the slideshow size automatically on mobile? The mobile friendly test tool above shows that the slideshow is not auto-sizing.

Whew. Almost there! Thanks again for your patience and help.
