Hi there,

I'm glad we were able to figure this out!

I really can't say why you're having this issue. My best guess is that your hosting provider has really strict permission settings.

Best,

Hi there,

Try removing legacy support in script.php too. You can find it on lines 37-43...

//LEGACY SUPPORT
$data = get_post_meta( $post->ID, 'key', true );
if(isset($data['latitude'])){$oldLatitude = $data['latitude'];}
if(isset($data['longitude'])){$oldLongitude = $data['longitude'];}
if(isset($data['address_one'])){$oldAddrOne = $data['address_one'];}
if(isset($data['address_two'])){$oldAddrTwo = $data['address_two'];}
if(isset($data['pin'])){$oldPin = $data['pin'];}

I'm not sure why you're having these issues. I think it might relate to your hosting permissions as I don't experience any of these issues in any of the installations I have using this theme.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi, I found that on the internet : wrote one year ago; but my english is not good so I prefer write it here.
Thanks

"Here's a solution I found which does not require you to change your version of PHP (thank you to Boann at stackoverflow.com):

"The posted code is valid, but it expects the parameter $inputs to be an array. The "Illegal string offset" warning in the part $inputs['type'] means that the function is being passed a string instead of an array. (And then since a string offset is a number, 'type' is not suitable.)

So in theory the problem lies elsewhere, with the caller of the code not providing a correct parameter.

That said, this warning message is new to PHP 5.4. Old versions didn't warn if this happened. They would silently convert 'type' to 0, then try to get character 0 (the first character) of the string. So if this code was supposed to work, that's because abusing a string like this didn't cause any complaints on PHP 5.3 and below. (A lot of old PHP code has experienced this problem after upgrading.)

You might want to debug why the function is being given a string by examining the calling code, and find out what value it has by doing a var_dump($inputs); in the function. But if you just want to shut the warning up to make it behave like PHP 5.3, change the line to:

if (is_array($inputs) && $inputs['type'] == 'attach') {"

Hi Chris,
All updates have been made ! I dont understand what's happening :-(
I think it's not a problem with a improper data entered in the fields but a problem with the map. Because, all posts with a map in the background have the same problem.
-> http://pleinlespieds.com/perth-zoo/
-> http://pleinlespieds.com/kings-park/
-> http://pleinlespieds.com/mes-premiers-jours-perth/
I tried to delete all custom post option and I still have the same problems with
"Warning: Illegal string offset 'zoom' in" line 35; latitude on line 36; longitude on line 37, etc

Every times I write a post, I check on my website to know everything is right and it was always OK.
The problem appeared alone. I dont understand the reason.

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

Maybe you have automatic updates for WordPress turned on?

Be sure to review your posts to make sure there is proper data displayed in the post options. Those types of errors typically show up when there's improper data entered in the fields.

Let me know if that helps.

Hello Chris,
I dont know why but when I was on my website yesterday, the map has disappeared ?
I didn't change nothing, no adjustments, ...

Do you know why I dont have map anymore ?
http://www.pleinlespieds.com

And when I checked one article of my website :
http://pleinlespieds.com/perth-zoo/, there are some lines like this :
"Warning: Illegal string offset 'zoom' in /home/plein291/public_html/wp-content/themes/wpnavigator/single.php on line 35 - See more at: http://pleinlespieds.com/perth-zoo/#sthash.zRV0AeKA.dpuf"

I didn't have that before ? The problems appeared without anything to make !

Do you know the reasons of these problems ?

Thank you

Regards
