I have just made the changes still opening zoomed in

Here are the updated instructions for version 2...

1. Open scripts.js and change the following section on line 22 from this...

... <div id='imageContainer'></div> ...

...to this (notice you just need to add class='small')...

... <div id='imageContainer' class='small'></div> ...

2. Open style.css and change the following on line 394 from this...

#zoomOut {display: none;}

...to this...

#zoomIn {display: none;}

Hi i have opened the script and the first bit <div id='imageContainer'></div> i can find and change, i cannot find Zoom in the script anywhere, sorry.

I found the solution, no need to modify script.js
installed Prettyphoto Zoom plugin, and it works fine

could someone plz upload script.js and share a download link..I had no success replacing those lines,still not able to open up the image

Maybe I am missing something but I have checked through those steps a few times now with no success. I am testing on localhost but didnt think that would affect it, I also just commented out the old code, also thought this should be ok...

I recommend making your images optimized for the majority of screens, which is 16:9. Most users are adding black bars to their images so they fit better on widescreen monitors. Luckily your images are mostly black already.

I cant seem to get them to not distort. :(

I re-wrote the script several times and doubled checked it?? Still no success? Any other suggestions?? Is it the size of my photos?

Hey Newb,

You cannot access the JS file via Wordpress, you're going to have to FTP into the site server (where you installed Wordpress), and access the file in the Theme files.

Please let us know if you have issues getting to it!

Hi. Sorry to come back again: is it the script.js (with no S at the end of script) that once installed you can find in your domain address+wp-content/themes/WordPress Zoom/wpzoom/scripts? Thats the one I found.
Maybe theres another one with an s at the end? I am pretty new to wordpress and dont really know much
