Hi there,

The theme is auto-scrolling to the top. This is because the theme is assigning the first menu item as "active". To disable the auto-scroll, open scripts/custom.js and remove the following on line 767...

html.scrollTop(0);

Just keep in mind, the first menu item will display as active.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Christopher

I really am at a loss now... I thought I had a genius idea of using anchor tags...

So I put an anchor in the page I wanted to link straight too... And then put the link on another page and then added the #anchor to go to that part of the page... No luck...

Why does this not work? The url is correct in the browser... But its not jumping me down the page to the anchor...

Please I need to get this to work... There has to be a way to link to a certain part of the page...

Hi there,

Regarding links in the nav, there is no history approach used. This is demonstrated in the demo site.

Best,

Thank you... Very Very helpful...

So if I wanted to link from an outside source to a specific page in the site how would I write the url? So if someone click the link it would take them to the third page down and not the top page?

https://samplesite.com/page3

Sorry that is the last question for this...

Thank you...

Hi there,

The "back to..." text is located in the following template files/line...

404.php:3
archive.php:3
page.php:3
liquid-width.php:9
search.php:3
single.php:3

Keep in mind, if you see "back to..." at the top, that means you loaded the page directly (not via AJAX). Loading the page directly prevents you the ability to know which page you came from, which makes coding the button this way very tricky.

Regarding links in the nav, there is no history approach used. This is demonstrated in the demo site.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Christopher

I am not asking for any custom code or anything like that so please do not give the generic response message...

I want to know where the code is that does that function so I can modify it and I am asking you because you wrote the theme... Or did you not write the theme?

Just please I need to know where the code is that generates when you go to blog post or another page... You get that back to site link in the upper right hand corner... I just want that to go back to the page you were on... not to the top of site...

Also how are you doing the links for the nav? would it just be #pagename I guess what I am asking is what would the URL be if I wanted people to go to a specific page on the site... Instead of just going to the top of the site...

Thank you!!!
