There seems to be script conflict somewhere. Try deactivating your plugins one-by-one and see if they are causing the issue.

Thanks for your quick response! I deactivated the Jetpack plugin, but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem.

I have one post in my main slider. If I try to access that post in any way: 1) by clicking on the featured image in the slider; 2) by clicking on "more" in the excerpt; or 3) by accessing it as a post in the "+" area; the entire content area collapses and cannot be opened again. Even if I click on a different page or post, the entire website is unviewable and must be reloaded in order to un-collapse the content area.
