I've found that the optiontree plugin needed a reinstall.
There are some more minor issues, but so far so good.
I'll get back to you if I can't find it in forum or FAQ.

Make sure that the posts have map data associated with them. Any post that shows on the map without long/lat data will cause errors.

Where is the zoom function?
Where is the map satelite/roadview option?
Why can't I see even a standard world view in the home page?

I tried reinstalling all components (including database, zipped files according to your 'how to'documentation, clearing cache, etc). But the Navigator theme doesn't properly show up anymore.

Is it usefull to do it all over again? Where to begin?

It started out as a perfect theme for my purpose, but the configuration is not ideal.
