Hi Chris,

The problem got solved by creating a new category and assign my posts to it. Still strange that it was not working with the other category. I had the correct category assigned to the slider.

Can you confirm you have "Featured" assigned as your slider category on the Customize page?

Looking at your source code, nothing is showing up, so it's not an issue with the images, but appears you don't have any posts in the category you have assigned or that you have the wrong category assigned.

Maybe try creating a new category, assign you posts to it and then select the new category in the slider settings?

I see some of the images you have are EXTREMELY large (reference: http://waarisdafeestjehierisdafeestje.be/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/DSC00450-900x3672.jpg ). Be sure to make your images optimized for the web. It's possible your hosting/WordPress are having a memory overload with these images, which might prevent them from displaying.

If that doesn't help, please provide a link to one of the posts that is suppose to be in the slider.

The slider category is properly assigned and my post have also the right category. It worked in the past and haven't changed anything but updated wordpress.

Looking at your source code, the slider is completely empty, which seems to imply you don't have any featured posts assigned. Please make sure you have properly assigned the slider category on the Customize page and that your posts are properly assigned to that category.

I can't think of anything theme-related that would be causing that to happen. I also haven't experienced any issues with upgrading WordPress.

Have you tried creating a new post to see if the issue applies to new items? If it works, maybe you just need to re-assign your featured images.

If that doesn't help, please provide a link to your site and I'll see if anything sticks out.

When I update wordpress then my featured category is not showing the photos anymore. I'm not using a caching plugin. Any thoughts what it could be?

I have lost my slider photos again. As per our last communication, I now have a category for slider but when I go to my site, there are no photos displayed in the slider.
