From looking at your site, your blog entries are working fine on the home page (by default where they show up, unless you'd like a static front page) but the news page you're linking to is a static page with nothing on it. If you're trying to set up a separate page for news and events blog entries, try creating a category and putting your blog posts in that category. Then you can create a link on the top menu to the category, not the page, and it'll automatically contain all of your blog entries in that category. I don't use it on my Politico-themed page (http://www.dentondemocrats.org) but I do use them on my personal page (http://bcfeed.com/category/film-studies/).

Ive been looking through the posts and have not seen this one yet. Sorry if I missed it.

After I turned on the slider my blog pages stopped showing the latest blog posts, here it is:
