I also found the css to remove the expand functionality.. I was looking in the wrong css :)

you might want to add a blurb, or something, about the 'deeplinking' thing, as I have to believe more than just myself found that to be annoying.

thanks for your help!

sorry for the million updates - I changed the 'deeplinking' option in the prettyphoto js from 'true' to 'false' and that solved the problem.

are there any caveats that you can think of by doing this?

nevermind - I migrated to 3.1.4 (replaced the css and removed 3.1.3 from scripts.js and added 3.1.4 in place of it).. same problems exist

actually, it seems that both of my issues are addressed (to some extent) in prettyphoto 3.1.4.. should I just be able to download it and drop the script in place of the old one?

Hey there,

Thanks for the kind words... we appreciate that. Chris thinks through each design very thoroughly, so I'm glad you notice!

For the X button, there's one thing I think you could do to call more attention to it. Rather than moving the location, you can edit the 'Sprite' to display the X as a different color. You can find that in your .PSD's, but if you edit the Sprite and then re-upload it with the same name into the same location, you should be good to go.

Here is the Sprite for B+M: http://themes.themolitor.com/wpbm/wp-content/themes/wpbm/images/prettyPhoto/default/sprite.png

If you're comfortable with Photoshop you can color that X button in Red or some other color to call more attention to it. Secondly, if you think that the Expand button is unnecessary, you can always hide it in the CSS.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks,
Justin

Hey.. I love the theme.. *a lot*. Thank you for using logic when creating it, as it seems others who have created themes seem to not possess any.

Anyway, I have two minor issues (I'll post them separately) that I'm wondering if there's a solution to.

First one: Is there any way to remove or relocate the maximize button when viewing an image in the lightbox? I've had a number of complaints now about people expecting the close button to be located in the upper right, at which point they wind up maximizing the image (I ran in to this at first myself).

I'm okay with digging in to code, so if there's something that I can mess with, I'm more than game.

Thanks!
