If you followed my instructions above to remove prettyPhoto, the built-in lightbox system should be completely disabled. If you're seeing anything else, it's probably the plugin you're using. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that plugin or the code written to achieve its effects, so I don't know where/how to make edits to the plugin.

I understand what your saying and I will contact the plugin developer but I don't understand why it won't work properly with the carousel on the home page. .. is there anyway of turning OFF the lightbox feature on the carousel?

Hi there,

Unfortunately I'm not able to troubleshoot issues with plugins. I hope you understand, but I didn't write the plugin, so in order for me to troubleshoot I would have to research how somebody wrote the plugin and then research a custom solution for this specific need. I can't see anywhere where these issues you're having are coming from the theme, so my services are really limited here.

Again, I hope you understand my limitations when it comes to plugins.

Gosh I sure hope not. I'm hosted through blue host.. I guess I could ask them.

Just a couple more things. The shadow box works everywhere except with the carousel feature on the home page, where it simply opens the photo onto a new page instead of in the box. I'd like to either fix this or create the option to turn the shadowbox off for the carousel if that is possible so that it doesn't throw people off.

Also, for some reason on this portfolio item, the shadow box does not open up with the scrolling arrows but only has an X to close at the bottom, which makes it awkward to close every photo and then open a new one if you are viewing a portfolio. I have installed this gallery the same as the others so I am not sure what the issue is. Take a look if you don't mind: http://www.landcustomconstruction.com/modern-construction/

I haven't had anyone else have this issue with ANY of my themes, so I'm worried it might be an indicator of a larger issue you have with your domain/hosting/WordPress/etc.

One thing you could try is remove the following from the "scripts.js" file (lines 24-37)...

Then you can try using the shadowbox plugin again. Let me know if that helps.

Hi - since the most recent update of the Wave theme, the lightbox is no longer working throughout our site. I have tried everything including turning off all plugins to see if there were any conflicting plugins but nothing has worked. Your help would be greatly appreciated since this is a portfolio site and the template is useless without the lightbox feature.
