More updates after playing around. Decided to have a look at the functions page and saw the echo line

For now I've removed the 'get_the_ID()' portion and it allows us to cycle through images on a timeline for all the images in the timeline. That actually is potentially a better method for us as that way people can keep clicking. It does seem strange that it was treating them as single images and not looking at the get_attached wordpress function. If you end up figuring out the original problem though that'd be great to hear. Will keep looking at it and am slowly relearning all the PHP and Js I had lost. Now going to try and get it so the user can scroll across the images.

So was reading through the JS and trying to workout why it might be lacking arrows. It seemed to be registering each post with multiple images as having a single image. Wondered if a plugin elsewhere was being funky with it, so disabled them in chunks and uploaded test posts with multiple images. They still were displaying as if they were single images. Confirmed all this by removing the bits in the JS zoombox that refer to single image post displays.

Very peculiar, but hopefully that might shed some light. It seems odd that is seems to have affected our site so am trying to think of anything else it could be.

It's been a while due to being incredibly busy. Unfortunately this never managed to be resolved on our end. Have done countless fresh installs and removed all plugins and yet it still fails to show the arrows.

Is there a plan to build Zoombox into future releases?

Hmmm.... I really can't think what the issue would be other than a plugin-related cause. I have two separate installations that both display the arrows properly. I'm thinking there must be something unique with your environment/setup to cause this issue.

Sorry I had to reactivate them at the request of the webmaster, I'll find a 24 period this week that'll be good for you to have a look. Thing is even when I had reset things to Zero state on Friday it still wasn't displaying the arrows so I'm doubtful that it's a plugin related issue.

I still see some plugins active. Specifically I see JetPack, which is notorious for causing script conflicts.

Try deactivating that and let me know.

Site is at ground zero level now, Zoom Box is the only activated plugin (1.0.5) and Curator (1.4.9) fresh install (changed the logo though for the sake of people visiting the site over night)

Additional info, running latest wordpress, latest version of PHP and everything behind the scenes as far as I am aware.

I've been trying to wrack my head around the PHP but nothing is jumping out at me. Had a look at the live preview and can see how the arrows should be working now though.

I'm really not sure what the issue is. I see you have a "Custom" stylesheet. In order for me to troubleshoot any issues, I have to ask that you revert to a default setup of the theme with plugins deactivated. I'm unable to troubleshoot issues on a theme that has been customized as it's possible the customizations are causing an issue.

Let me know if you revert to a default setup and I'll be happy to take another look.

Hi Chris,

Jetpack doesn't seem to be causing the issue with the arrows, I tried playing with the z index and moving them about and making them brash colours to see if I could locate them hiding somewhere but they simply haven't appeared.

Another thing but I know the plugin is still in the early stages, when you zoom in it only magnifies the centre and you can't move around the image which for our site is frustrating.

Hi Chris, rather quickly I've worked it out. For future people that might experience the same issue, if you run Jetpack's Photon it seems to be causing the issue.

Still not able to see arrows on the zoombox, but it's better for now ;)

There appears to be some additional markup being added to the link URL...

The additional "?fit=579,350" at the end is preventing the lightbox from properly recognizing that link as an image link.

I can confirm the extra markup is not generated by the theme, so my best suggestion is to double-check your plugins. It's possible that some plugins make changes that are still active even when the plugin is not active.

One way to test is to deactivate plugins and create a new post to see if that has any impact on the image links.

It's on every time line. It was working briefly at some point but then stopped. Deactivated plugin and theme, reactivated both and still seems to be the case.

Hi Chris,

Might be something I've missed or can't find but Zoombox and The Curator still seem to be having issues. Updated to 1.4.9 today and zoombox 1.04. The first image zooms in and can be magnified but the close button and arrows to work through the gallery aren't visible. Any advice?

the lightbox does not seem to work in the theme. When the image is clicked on it opens in a another window.
