#header {height: 116px;}

I know it's not quite how you designed it -- sorry! Thanks for the lovely and well-functioning theme. By the way, I couldn't figure out where to leave a rating on ThemeForest! I saw where to rate your collection, but not the theme. I'll bet your theme would get more ratings if they made it easier to see where to assign stars. Meantime, feel free to explain somewhere how to do it.

If your CSS is being overridden, be sure to use !important like this...

#topBar #logo {padding: 25px 0 10px !important;}

For the welcome message, try this...

#welcome {left: 300px; top: -190px;}

#header {height: 150px;}

For some reason, I can't seem to control the style of #topBar #logo, though. The native 50px top and bottom padding is overriding it. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm trying to get the welcome message to appear higher up and off to the right, if you have any thoughts on how to move that up.

#welcome {padding: 0 0 50px;}
#topBar #logo {padding: 30px 0 10px;}

That's by design, but you can remove that space by adding the following to your Custom CSS box on the Customize page (appearance > customize)...

#topBarWrapper {padding-bottom: 0;}
