Hi HerrRossi,

I read your post a couple times and have an idea of what you are trying to do with combining the sliders of PhotoPurePress with the layout of Masonry. From what I can tell PhotoPurePress uses a pretty extensive combination of jquery plugins. I honestly believe that the quote you received is fair for the amount of work involved. It's pretty much creating a brand new website.

Maybe you could start a collection on the main board to cover some of the costs, and then all contributors could then have the newly revised theme.

You could mark me down as a purchaser/contributor at $35.

hehe so it seems ;) i know need to get the slider from this theme to the mason....which will be not to easy i guess; in the worst case i have to do it myself.....dont misunderstand, i love the mason from its look but the final presentation isnt mine so i need to implement the slider from this i currently have active ;) i set the mason as far up as i want it to look when done; the thing is i really love the layout but not when it breaks the images out of the layout with this image resizer....i honestly hate these things....so i found this slider where the images are already big enought and also they look really good in the mason! i send a customise request before but i have to wait and get other opinion because 850,- is a bit more than i thought. nonetheless thanks a lot and it was for sure not for nothing!!! if you didnt help me i may have changed to something else but so i dont have to ;) cheers

Here is the customization:

Appearance>Theme Options>Custom CSS now type the following lines:

.metaItem {
font-size: 0px;

Now all of those extra items are gone.

To make your layout look like "Sub Category" in the demo do everything that I posted above except keep these two items checked:

Appearance>Portfolio Settings>Post Title On/Off>checked
Appearance>Portfolio Settings>Excerpt On/Off>checked

You will now have a photograph that opens on the main page to a bigger photo, while clicking on the Title or Learn More will bring you to a full post. This is exactly how "Sub Category" on the demo operates.

Then you got to the post and add a gallery then update. To delete thumbnails, you actually delete the [gallery] code after the initial update.

Now to delete the grey box that says comments you go to Editor>Comments.php and delete the entire box (this looks like you figured this part out)

Deleting the following items is a customization and is not how Sub Category looks in the demo:

"(Portfolio, Sub Category 1
May 23, 2011
The Molitor
2 Comments
Example Tag 1, Example Tag 2, Example Tag 3
)"

However, I will see if I can solve this last item today.

thanks a lot blackhearts!!

but i allready know that :( i know how to do a single image with no function but when i do a gallery (which i do mostly) it wount work like that. I wanted to have it like in the DEMO. i like the additioonal info because it adds to the layout. basicly i dont know how to post a gallery without getting thumbs (i think they are resized full images) click on a picture and the picture gets you to the series. like in the demo....i also try to NOT use the prettyimage thing (when click on picture it gets out of layout and i dont like this a bit because it interuppt the beautiful layout)

as i said, i only want to have a apereance like in the demo; front page: you click (here on text but i would do it on image) and you get to the series, left you got info (can i remove this too, the info who postet (Portfolio, Sub Category 1
May 23, 2011
The Molitor
2 Comments
Example Tag 1, Example Tag 2, Example Tag 3
)

when i do a layout like this i get always thumbs in the left column.....where the infos are.....

is there a solution or just doom? there are no CLOSED chapters i found on the forum i could follow up, most of all the posts have NO solution :(

Here is what you want to do.

Settings>Discussion>uncheck every box possible

Appearance>Portfolio Settings>Preview Image Link>Image
Appearance>Portfolio Settings>Post Title On/Off>unchecked
Appearance>Portfolio Settings>Excerpt On/Off>unchecked

For each of your individual photo "Books" go to for example:
Pages>click on Book.02>Page Attributes>Masonry

Now in order to put all of your Book.02 photos up you will need to create a new post for every single individual image.

1.  Posts>Add New

2. Type the Title of your photograph name in the place that says "Enter Title Here" Your post must have a name or it will not show.

3. click on "Set Featured Image" This will be located at the bottom right of your screen.

4. A new box will then pop up. Click on "Media Library" (since you have already uploaded your photos).

5. Click the "Show" button by the photo that you want to use, this will display options for the photo.

6. Now click on "Use as Featured Image:"

7. You will now see a version of your photo on the bottom right of your page under "Featured Image"

8. Click the black X button to close this screen or click "Save All Changes"

9. Make sure to click "Update"

Go to your main site and you will now see that your Book.02 page will only have one photograph.

Repeat steps 1 to 9 for each individual photo.

You never use the Upload/Insert button under posts nor do you ever use a Gallery. Also do not type in any descriptions or anything in the big box in the middle because they will not be displayed. Instead title your image with whatever you wanted to describe it as for instance, "Girls outside in France, Torque Magazine." That way the reader will be able to see what that photo was about when they click on the image.

With this setup, you make your entire page consist of individual Posts each with only one photograph, which is a Featured Image.

For instance your Book.02 will need to have 5 separate individual posts since you have five photographs.

This is the way to have a proper image portfolios without comments, categories, or any other items on screen.
