Hi there,

Just want to clarify a couple things...

1. You have issues with your WordPress dashboard, which will not be solved based on the theme you use. The dashboard functions independently from the theme.

2. The same issues you're experiencing with the front-end of your site (i.e. jQuery conflicts) are the same issues you're experiencing with the back-end. Changing the theme will not change this.

---

You really need to resolve these issues with your dashboard...

1. Review plugins you have installed.

2. Review WordPress settings.

3. Double-check and make sure you're not only using the best method to translate your site/dashboard, but also make sure you're have the translation tool properly configured.

I hope you understand that these issues are not related to the theme. I have The Curator installed on a couple domains (+ hundreds of users) that don't show any of these same issues you're having.

Hope that gives you some encouragement to review the core issue you're having, which is your WordPress installation.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,
not really. Before the WP update WP was fine with no dashboard conflicts. I don't know how this can be solved.
For the layout problem it seems that all I can do is to buy a new theme and to say good bye to the timeline :(

Hi there,

I noticed you had a jQuery conflict in your WordPress dashboard too, so this isn't something related to the theme. It appears to be a WordPress-related issue you have.

Hope that helps.

Hi Chris,

yes I recognized this odd behavior too, but my previous wp version had no issues and the layout problem already showed up in that version.

Last weekend a friend of mine, who is a web developer had a look on the backend. His guess is that there is some conflict between jquery and your custom.js file.

Thanks

Hi there,

You don't have any active widgets, so that's why the info panel is empty.

I'm noticing some odd behavior with your WordPress dashboard. Maybe it has to do with the translation method you're using for WordPress? I'm not sure. Something is definitely off with your WordPress install, though.

This is likely the reason you're experiencing some issues. Unfortunately I'm not able to troubleshoot WordPress installations for you, so you'll need to review that before I continue looking into any theme-related issues you have.

Hope you understand.

Best,

I tried this already, but unfortunately there are no changes. All I can see is the background texture. No navigation, logo or content. The same when I try to preview a post.

Thanks for your help. I hope you can solve this. I love this theme and the timeline feature and don't want to loose it.

Hi there,

I appreciate your patience while I think of ways to troubleshoot the issue you have. I'm not sure what the issue is, so please continue to bear with me :-)

Thanks for the screenshot! I'll have to see if I can recreate this on my end.

One other thing to try is to make a simple change just so that you can click "save & publish". Sometimes it's necessary to resubmit the options in order to "reset" after an update.

Let me know if that helps at all.

Best,

Hi there,

As a general rule, it's always good practice to review the options on the Customize page after you make an update (this is true with all themes that utilize the Customize page for theme options). There may be new options that need your attention/configuration.

Be sure to click "save and publish" after making changes if applicable.

Let me know if that has any impact.

Hi there,

I do see an issue on my iPhone, but not on any desktop browsers. This doesn't occur on any of my demo site installations when viewed on the iPhone, though. Have you made any edits to the template files? At this point, my best suggestion is to reinstall the theme as I'm not seeing this behavior on any of the demo installations I have setup.
