That fixed it. Thanks, Chris! I had just accepted the default colors, but when I customized each color setting for the theme, the problems vanished. With today's WordPress update (3.8) and the most recent version of The Curator (1.4.2), it looks like I'm ready to start being the curator of The Curator. :-)Thanks again. You rock!

Hi there,

What is the hex value you're using for the theme accent color?

Let me know.

Thanks for the advice, but I did/checked everything you mentioned and there is no change.

For the first error, the "embedded content" field under custom post options is now blank. The only content is the default WP text. For the second error, I've double-checked all the settings and customizations. Other than the title, I've just accepted all the default options.

From the admin side the post/timeline looks fine. When I look with my domain http://www.miniatureperfumesociety.org/ I only see the error message, not the theme.

Hi there,

Regarding the first error, make sure the custom fields below the content box on the post edit screen are empty for that post.

For the second error, be sure that you have the theme settings filled out on the the customize page (appearance > customize).

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Thanks, Chris. Since I was starting over from scratch I uninstalled, then reinstalled the latest version of The Curator. However, although it looks fine from my Wordpress admin, the first default post includes this text in the imbedded section of the post:

<b>Warning</b>: Illegal string offset 'embed_content' in <b>/home/minicurator/public_html/wp-content/themes/curator/functions.php</b> on line <b>222</b>

When I go directly to my domain all I see is this: Fatal error: Invalid hex length in /home/minicurator/public_html/wp-content/themes/curator/header.php on line 64

Suggestions? Thanks!

Hi there,

The latest version of the theme is always available on your downloads page on ThemeForest. For more info about updating, please review this thread: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/faq-how-do-i-update-my-theme

I recommend using the latest version as there have been a couple bug fixes with the last two releases.

Best,

Chris

As a follow-up, my current Curator version is 1.4.0, but I now see there have been updates 1.41 and 1.42 since my purchase a month ago. I just don't know where to get them or where to apply them. Thanks.

Hi! I purchased The Curator on November 1st of this year and basically spent the last month experimenting with our content and doing a "test drive" - love it! Today, I removed, then re-uploaded The Curator files to WordPress to actually begin building our site in earnest, so I'm starting with a clean slate. Before I proceed, do I need to apply any updates that have occurred since Nov 1 or am I good to go? Thanks!
