Hi there,

For me to troubleshoot this further, I'll have to ask that you provide a default setup of the theme for me to review. It's difficult to troubleshoot issues when there are customizations throughout the site (whether they be there via plugin or customization).

If you can provide a default setup that has this same issue, I'll be happy to review it and see what might cause the problem.

Let me know.

Best,

Chris

That is 3-d party plugins. JS just minified for now. I already tested it without any caching and plugins. It seems that this bug appears on FireFox for Windows.

Can you test it on win-machine, please? May be you have it or can use Parallels.

Hi there,

I appreciate the details in helping me understand the issue you have.

I visited your site in FireFox and refreshed the page multiple times. I didn't experience any issues with the loading animation/effect. Everything seems to be loading just fine.

I did notice there are lots of custom elements on the page. Some appear to be using javascript interactions (back to top button for example).

How did you implement these?

Are they plugins? If so, try deactivating them to see if that has any affect on the issue you have.

Are they customizations made to the theme? If so, please double-check your edits. If you're unsure, try using a default installation of the theme and see if the problem you have persists.

In order for me to effectively troubleshoot an issue like this, I have to rule out the possibility of issues being caused either by plugins or user edits.

Let me know.

Best,

Chris

Hello, Christopher.

I have an issue with The Daily Press theme on my WP blog. I'm using last version of the theme which was customized by the child-theme. So, my problem. Sometimes the announces on the index page does not appear. I see only 'loading circle' instead of them. Sometimes they loads perfectly and sometimes is not. Earlier this problem affect at any browser but for now, after I made few attempts to fix it manually, this problem repeats only in FireFox. Now I'll describe what I have done to assist you in the investigation of my problem.

First time I met this problem on all browsers. I have some cache modules in WP so I turned off them all (leverage browser caching + QuickCache + Minifying js/css), restarted my web-server, cleared all browser's cache... but problem didn't go away. So after that I used Firebug and some similar plugins to see what happening when load is breaks. And I see that it was caused by unavailability of jQuery.js. So I turned off my CDN plugin and put this file on my localhost (also as few major .js more, also I excluded them from minyfing). This action reduced number of times when announces doesn't load. But problem still didn't go away. When I checked Firebug again I saw that there are some errors in code so I decided to put newest .js files (I mean jQuery, jQuery-min and others which I downloaded from official website) in my WP engine. This once more reduced number of times when announces doesn't load but it all still doesn't solves the problem. Now Firebug says that I have no any error or bug with any .js file and everything is okay, but even without caching I'm facing with this problem sometimes. Especially if I'm open my website first time from new machine/browser.

http://goo.gl/mHw6bj
I reproduced this issue on my virtual machine with Windows XP and Firefox. Also it sometimes happens with Firefox in MacOS and Windows 7. And most times it happens when user visit website for the first time. But he can just press CTRL+R and everything goes on well. But if he will press CTRL+R (refresh) few times more it appears again. Also this bug reproducing not only on index page but on any other page else with this element:
http://goo.gl/Si7ybK
Just 'loading circle' remaining instead of appearing the article path.

Please, help me to fix it. This is 100% that the problem exists (because users say about it too, not only I see this), I just can't understand where is the source of the problem and how I can eliminate it.

Thanks. My website URL: http://mundir-ru.ru
