I just got this nice theme and I experienced the problem described. I changed the the version of jquery on the header.php file around the line 52 replacing the path to the jquery google api library to https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js. I have not experienced any problem in any browser so far.Everything seems to work fine.

I've changed a few things so determining exactly what I did is difficult. I believe the issue might be the Opera fix that you see on line 132 of scripts/custom.js. Try commenting that line out and see if it does the trick.

The downside, I suppose, is that fix was there to add some support for Opera, though the nav seems to work fine for me in Opera, on the Mac anyway. Perhaps the developer can shed some light on what exactly that fix was doing.

Is there a work around that can be employed in the meantime? To: johnnyspade, is there some code you can share to axe the jQuery from the dropdown (I'm not a coder by trade). Thanks

I appreciate you looking at it. I can always axe anything that needs jQuery from the drop down for now. I like the effects but I think it's more important that the menu be functional. You may even want to do this from the theme, in general, if you think a solution may be a long time coming. It will really depend on Apple, I suppose.

Hi there,

With the latest update to iOS, there appears to be a mobile safari bug regarding drop down menus like this. Something to do with the active state of elements and how mobile safari interacts with jQuery.

I'm actively looking into this as this is a new bug that most aren't aware of yet.

Sorry I don't have a solid solution for you.

I've noticed that the drop down menus don't work when using the iPad. I thought it may just be something unique to my site but I've tested it on other sites using the theme and the issue persists there as well.

What is odd, however, is if there's a toggle on the page, like the gallery or comment toggle you can click a toggle and then the navigation works correctly. I assume this is a Javascript issue so I've tried commenting out a few things but I couldn't find the problem. Any advice appreciated.
