I guess I got lucky with the other themes I've purchased. I'll give your plugin links a shot, thanks! A+ for quick response!!

So Dynamic Widgets does the trick! It is a bit of a clunky workaround, but it achieves the desired result and that is what matters.
The lack of built-in page by page widget configuration is the only gripe I have with Politico WP, aside from that it is exactly what I needed to deliver the results my client was looking for.
All the best

Hi There,

Individual page widgets are generally not "standard". In fact, most themes have Widgetized areas for Blog Posts and Pages respectively.

With that said, you can try out the following plugins to achieve what you're looking to do:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/display-widgets/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

I can't promise they'll work perfectly (since they're 3rd party), but generally if the Plugin is up to date it'll work fine with our themes. No money wasted :)

Good luck,
Justin

I've just started building a political campaign website ( http://www.wright4supervisor.com.php5-21.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/ ) and I was very disappointed to find that I couldn't find a way to select separate widgets for each page. Custom widget coding for individual pages is one of the greatest features of wordpress. Other premium themes I've have used have all had this capability, so I assumed it was standard.

I don't want widgets on every page and I want to change the order of some widgets on different pages. I am hoping I am missing something and that this is possible. Please let me know if there is a way forward for me to customize widgets to individual pages using this theme. If not, I'm afraid I've wasted my money.
