Not yet resolved but worked out what is causing issues

For some reason, adding buttons or forms causes the page to ignore the custom CSS but it doesn't affect it on the homepage

I've played around with it and it works, sort of :)

It works on the homepage but for other pages, the font size increase takes effect but the page content width doesn't change

You can copy/paste that into your Custom CSS box on the Customize page and make edits there.

I want to increase the size of the centre frame - I need to have a lot of text in it and don't want users to have to scroll. Happy to tinker with code but wanted some advice on what to look at and where to start?
