Three questions below. Hope you can help!

(1) Can I remove the "Thoughts?" at the bottom of each page? I disabled "Allow people to post comments on new articles" (per the documentation) but that didn't do the trick.

(2) Where the "x" appears on a tab at the top of the page to bring you to the extra widgets page, can I replace the X with text (like "click for more")?

(3) There is far less room between the top edge of the screen and the top of my site -- i.e., the navigation buttons and the top of the page -- than there is between the top edge of the screen and the nav buttons/page on the demo. I'd like to have that much headroom. How can I accomplish that?
