it sounds like your running it in IE7 compatibility mode(which will break the site as its not compatible with IE7)

open up your header.php and paste this right below the '<head>' tag

if that fixes it I was 100% correct and you were running it in compatibility mode using outdated standards

I have received reports from users of the real version of Ie. 8 and see it as described.

The confirmation is the fact that the theme uses CSS classes and methods not supported by IE8.

It 's easy to reproduce the effect enough to have IE8 or use, the key re backward compatibility of uses IE9 engine ie8

designed to solve it? and 'very little serious attitude ...!

Sorry, but we are unable to recreate this effect. As a result, I can only assume it has something to do with your emulator/setup. The good news is that users on a actual machine running the real version of IE8 will not have this issue (unless they have the compatibility mode turned on, which uses the IE7 engine).

The thema is not compatible with IE8 and earlier

as you can see here with IE8 and earlier the thema official

ask for a solution to the problem!
the thema using css responsive element type @ media screen and (max-width:
not supported by IE8 browser.

Many other developers take the script to solve this problem,
ask that the media do something to solve this problem

I have a solution.

i made a special css class for IE8 browers and earlier:

put this in your <head> tags:

and then this in your css-stylesheet>

.ie #container {
width:980px;
}

Basically your telling your IE8 browser to keep a width of 980 so it won't go down to mobile version width.

it worked for me and i'm happy

@ Rosario what email are you sending it too? the email in the documentation is for Molitor not me(we dont do any support by email or anywhere else beside these forums)

and YES I am actually checking the sites in IE(both IE8 on Windows XP and Windows 7 IE9 in compatibility mode to render like IE8)

you keep posting a link to something Ive already said is rendering properly

@ mannschaft looks like youre using net render which isn't rendering the site correctly using the actually browser it appears fine

First of all, great theme! My problem is the same. My website shows up as a mobile version on IE8.

Chris, the Demo of Eventure Theme (http://themes.themolitor.com/eventure/) also shows up as a mobile version on IE8, here's a screengrab from http://www.netrenderer.com.

when you connect to the demo site you do with ie.8?
if you do it with the 9 click the button backward compatibility

1 there is no screenshot I checked the DEMO and it doe not appearwrong its rendering correctly can you post a link to YOUR site not the demo and a screenshot of what youre seeing(as the demo you keep linking to the problem is not there)

I tried commenting the responsive but not enough is all over again ...

The demo is appearing correctly for me in IE8

IE7 and below isnt supported at all for any of our themes

can you post a screenshot of what youre seeing

I would add that in addition to the home,
the theme is not compatible with i.e. 8 and earlier also:
internal pages can not see properly
the tabs do not work and the calendar tab on the inside.

really responsive... :(

viewing the site with a version of Internet Explorer 8 and earlier the site appears as a mobile phone.

Even the demo removed the frame has this problem.
To check this, simply press the button backward compatibility of IE.

How can I fix?
