Hello,

I'd like to add "Pronamic Google Maps" to this list.

Basically what it does is add a segment to the post and pages in editing mode. scroll down to it, type in address or point on the google map "et voilà" there is your lat an long....all this without exiting to go to itouch(or whathever)

Today I still have to copy/paste the values to the lat/long fields of the post above.
Maybe that is something Chris can solve/add to the next update?

See you!

So after much trial and error on this theme, I found that it is completely necessary to use certain plug-ins to help aid in some difficult tasks. I am still in the process of working around other glitches, but these current finds are a huge benefit when working with this theme.

1. WCK (Wordpress Creation Kit):
This one is most important when it comes to adding custom taxonomies. Though the custom post type does not work for this theme at all, creating custom post taxonomies such as Region, City, State, and much more, REALLY helps give you a stronger grouping method than just "catetorgy" and "tag."

2. Taxonomy Picker:
This works in perfect conjunction with the WCK plug-in and a top choice if you want to filter your searches from the widget sidebar. Pretty much, you will have a widget tool to select any taxonomy (categories, tags, and any others that you make with WCK) from dropdown menus and even enter search criteria if you would like, press the search button, and PRESTO! You will have a true filtered search result on your main map that shows ONLY what the site visiter wants it to.

This also solves the problem of category selection in the front end user form (each category you select will take you away from the page you were on rather than just selecting it).

3. Display Widgets:
Easy plugin that makes individual widgets visible or invisible on certain pages or to certain users. This is really handy because sometimes you just don't need those filter and search options on the contact page (example) but would rather only have them on the front page.

Anyways, I just thought I would help my fellow navigators out with some well needed work arounds. Here are a few other good plug-ins that I use.

- Alexa Claim and Certify (for web stats on my alexa account)
- Contact Form 7
- NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster (posting new listings to my Facebook page)
- Regenerate Thumbnails
- Search Everything
- Wordpress SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- WP Super Cache

I hope some of those help out, and if you have any of your own important plugins that help this theme, please share.
