Hi Chris, sure know that this is not a theme issue. However, I was just curious if someone else has experienced the same. FYI: I checked the the max_execution_time (WP PHPInfo plugin) on both servers. On the norwegian server the limit was 120s, the one from one.com: Only 50s. Still, that was the last one that solved my problem. There might be some narrow digital roads to Norway.

When i tried the successful import on the US-server, I seem to recall that I this time implemented the menus before starting the import.

I have read that the max_execution_time on the server should be set to 600. But I doubt that any provider will implement this due to security reasons.

Again – a very nice designed theme. May be we want some small changes made. I have noticed there is a form for such a request?

Hi there,

When importing demo content in WordPress, be sure to select the checkbox that says "download attachments" so that all the images and content get loaded to your site.

Also, please keep in mind that issues with importing demo content are not theme related. The demo file you're using is generated by WordPress and the import process is controlled by WordPress. If you experience any issues, that means there's either something wrong with your hosting permissions or with your WordPress configurations.

Unfortunately that isn't something I can troubleshoot as I'm limited to issues with the theme when it comes to providing support.

I hope you understand.

Let me know if you're able to resolve any issues you have as I'm sure other users may benefit from your experience.

Best,

Chris

Tried to import to the server at one.com once more - and now it worked :) But I would rather use an europeen hostserver since that is usually a better option(faster) for serving local business...
