No, you are using the web address url and not the media embed code on your site.

Copy this and paste the following code it into your Post where it says "Media Embed Code":

<iframe width="280" height="170" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4r7wHMg5Yjg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This is what Youtube embed codes look like.

lol now the video is showing here.....( was not my intention ) wish it will show on the website xD

"Category for page template - pages only

If using a page template, enter the category name you would like to use. For example, 'My Category Name'. This only applies to pages (not posts).
Media Embed Code (YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Maps) - posts only

It will not show the video only the html....i have no clue what is not going wrong as it should work pasting the link there....

To show Youtube or Vimeo links copy the embed shortcode from the video and then paste this long code into the box that says "Media Embed Code (YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Maps) - posts only"

Do not use Featured Image for anything besides photos, because it will not work.

Thank you guys so much for these liberating answers ;D It solved by setting featured images.
When i try to set a video using featured mode it creates a link to youtube in stead of showing it on grid...

Any ideas?

Hi Chantal,

Basically, do not use the upload photo/inset button or any of the gallery possibilities when attempting to put an image on your main page.

1. Go to Posts, then click on whatever post you want to alter.

1. click on "Set Featured Image" This will be located at the bottom right of your screen.

2. A new box will then pop up. Click on "Media Library" (since you have already uploaded your photos).

3. Click the "Show" button by the photo that you want to use, this will display options for the photo.

4. Now click on "Use as Featured Image:"

You will now see a version of your photo on the bottom right of your page under "Featured Image"

5. Click the black X button to close this screen or click "Save All Changes"

6. Make sure to click "Update"

Now your image will show on your home page.

I am puzzled and stuck on how to get the imagery and videos showing in the layout.
Any idea on how to get the flow going? Title and text is showing, but no imagery nor video just the links in html come up.
