Hi there,

Sounds like you may need to manually add the image tag to the post by copy/pasting the URL. Example...

<img src="LINK-TO-IMAGE-YOU-WANT-TO-USE" alt="" />

Just throw that into the post content box using the HTML tab (not the visual tab) of the editor.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response. I uploaded the image in media upload page, then located image in media gallery and inserted into the post and it still attaches it to the gallery.

Hi there,

To use images and not have them be attached to the gallery, you'll need to upload them from the media upload page (not the post/page edit screen). You can then locate the image in your media gallery and insert it into the post that way.
