Sounds like you need to use WordPress multisite (WPMU) for what you're needing to do. You can assign users to each install to bypass multiple signins, etc.

There are lots of plugins available for multisite setups to address any potential usability issues you might have with WPMU.

Hi Chris,

I've recently installed your awesome Vysual theme for a client's Theatre company site.

It is coming together nicely but I find myself wishing I could have a "main instance" of the theme for the general intro to the company and, from there, link to separate "instances" of the theme, one for each show that has been produced.

I suspect this might be achieved with a plug-in (have seen one called WP Multi Install which sounds promising), or maybe it could be done with multiple sub-domain or even sub folders. However not being very experienced in WP, I can't predict the admin issues this might inadvertently create.

One obvious problem would be multiple log-in requirements (wondering if I would need multiple databases?) However I could set my password manager to autologin to work around this.

Another issue would be if I wanted to share posts and pages between 'instances' but I don't think this likely and simple copy and paste could solve that issue.

Please advise if you know a sensible workflow
