You need to select the page you would like to use as your home page. You can create one specifically for this or use an existing page.

I did that, however HOME is not listed in the options. Do I have to add a new page?

Navigate to the "reading" page (under "settings"). Change the setting for the "Front page displays" setting.

I am not finding the place to change the home page setting to Page with Sidebar instead of Page with Posts.

Can you guide me in the right direction?
