Hello Chris,

I have to say that I am not usually a fan of "user-friendly" themes as I like to do a lot of customizations and most of them are just too restrictive for someone like me. But I have to say I'm becoming a fan of The Producer theme. I choose The Producer theme for my client because he doesn't have a lot of works to present and he didn't want to blog. The sophisticated styling and how the posts are presented make his few works look most impressive. Also, it is going to be easier than normal to teach my first-time-using-a-website client how to do it himself.

Well... live and learn! I just found that its the Yoast SEO plugin I used on this site and it adds the word "Archives" in the Admin > SEO tab > Titles & Meta > Taxonomy section. You just remove the word "Archives" from the Title Template code.

I apologize for thinking this was something to do with your theme. No wonder I couldn't find the word any place in your files!

Hi there,

That text isn't controlled by the theme, it's controlled via WordPress. You can edit that text on the Categories page (posts > categories).

First, just so you know, I am an experienced WP designer :)

I created a "Projects" category then made a menu link for that category. When you click the menu link the title of the category page starts with "Projects Archives". I would like it just to say "Projects" as I think the word "Archives" makes what is listed there seem outdated.

Hi there,

Did you create the category title? The category title is controlled from the categories page (posts > categories).

If that doesn't help, please provide a link to the page where this appears and I'll take a look.

Am I correct that the only place to remove this word "Archives" from the category title is in the database itself?

The word does not appear in archive.php or in the language/producer.pot, or anywhere else that I've searched. I can only find listed 3 times in the database.
