Just go to Posts > Categories and add a Category, select Blog as the Parent...

This is great. Thanks.. but now i'm wondering how to have subcategories within the blog?

Make sure you're selecting "Blog" as the category. Then go to your Appearance > Menus > Find the Blog category and hit "Add to Menu". Once on the menu, save your menu!

That should do it :)

This is an extremely basic question.. i have a "blog" page and i can make posts, but i do not know how to get the posts to show up on the "blog" page.
