can you post a link to your site?

if youre post is not in the events category it shouldnt appear in events, the demo creates a category called blog and adds that to the menu,

I have read an article in this forum with a sort of similar question.
I decided to make a new post, because the other article doesn't have a solution.
Sorry for my english.

I want to make posts that are connected to a categorie wich is not an event categorie.
In theme options I have set the event categorie. I made a new categorie that is not set up in the theme options. After I did that I made a post and I selected the categorie that is not an categorie.

Still I see the post in the slider/ calender.
Is there a way to make posts that don't show up in the slider/calender?
