I did that. Again, they don't show up on the main page calendar where they are separated by event type, they show up on the widget sidebar calendars AND if you click on the MONTH listing of the main calendar. So if you are on the main page and click "JULY", it will list a news posts I made within the listings of the "events" I posted.

All you need to do is keep those posts completely out of the Events Category and Event Sub-Categories. So, create a top level category that isn't the one you've selected for your Events in Theme Options!

As mentioned in a previous post, I want SOME posts that will just act as "forwards" to other pages. That said, I have set up some categories - that are NOT part of the events. All is fine with the main page calendar (and the events calendar page).

HOWEVER: when you look at the calendar in "month" view, if I had posted the event in that month, it shows up at the top (even if it's not an "event post" - but just because it IS a post, it gets included). SO, I changed the post date of the non-event posts, to January.

Problem is, when using the calendar widget in the sidebar, it now is giving an option to view those January events, and those posts are NOT meant to be viewed as such.

Is there anyways to make sure some specific posts DO NOT EVER show up on a calendar?

Thanks! Loving the theme.
