Hey Lohsmith,

Thanks for the feedback on the theme. While I understand you have had some great support with a free theme, Simon is correct, we are one of the only Theme Forest authors with our own support forum. I would be happy to look into something if you're having actual issues with the site, but making Customizations is simply not within the scope of the free support forum. At the end of the day, this is a premium theme/service, and a business. We try to do right by our loyal followers by answering support questions Monday - Friday. We also do offer minor customizations and example code for fixing issues (such as your complaint about the Copyright). The demo and descriptions explain pretty thoroughly what you are getting when purchasing the theme.

Anyways, good luck with the site. If you do have any actual problems with the theme me know and I will do my best to fix them for you! Or, if you need the code to remove the Copyright, I'll writeup some directions for you.

Best,
Justin

Not picking on anyone here, but MANY authors on themeforest.net and envato DON'T even have a support forum.

Also, in case any of you guys missed it, while in the admin pannel, on most related customization, there is a "help" drop down in the top right corner, which provides some mid-range documentation on most topics. I found many answers there :)

And if you need something coded and need it super fast, check out ODESK.com, it's the world largest freelance portal, you can find any skill at any price there.

You can have a website like AID fixed on adjustements like those you mentionned within 24-48 hours :)

Have a great day everyone.

(One thing to add is that the Suffusion theme developer never asked for money...yet I have given more money to help him develop his theme than I paid for this Aid theme. There is a lot to be said about providing exceptional customer service...rather than making EVERY slightly challenging customisation a chargeable addon!!! I would love to still be using Suffusion, but it just didn't fit this particular need. I really want to like your theme - but really struggling to like it when the support is so limited)

Hi there,

I thought this may be of help if/when you come to release an updated version of the Wordpress Aid theme. This is the first premium theme I have ever brought, and so far am a little disappointed with it. I guess I have been treated to the exceptional user experience delivered by the developer behind the following 100% free theme;
http://aquoid.com/news/themes/suffusion/
He provides completely free support & customisations - though neither of these things are really needed, because pretty much everything can be customised using the theme options...without delving into code! He also takes on board suggestions and updates his theme on a regular basis. He does this without payment of any kind.

My specific problems with these theme revolve around the following issues;
- Very little scope for customisation. I.e. - the home slider cannot be displayed on other pages without going into the code. Why?! It can't even be switched off completely...basically forcing me to have the slider on only one page of my website.
- The footer wording 'designed by The Molitor' needs to be changed using script editors. You are completely missing your market. Charities are often doing things on a shoestring, and could REALLY do with having such things integrated into the Option Tree - particularly as any updates to the Aid theme will overwrite any code changes made by us end users (forcing us to then go and change the things we 'corrected' in the first place).
- You include a gallery plugin with the theme. Great. But you don't include a simple way of switching it off. I wanted to use Nextgen gallery -- your plugin conflicts with it...so I had to delve into the code. Once again, this is a CHARITY theme -- I am doing the website for free; but for other charities, they would have to pay coders to change things that should be included as an option in the Option Tree.
- The top image slider rotates automatically - the bottom carousel doesn't. Why? & more importantly, why do I have to delve into the code to change such things?!!

I know this may sound like a rant...but it is just the frustrations borne out of finding an amazing looking theme, which then demands so much time and effort to make it work.

I still haven't had a workable solution for getting the top image carousel to display on all pages...which I can only assume is because you have so many themes, and can't keep up with the help requests.

So yes...please don't take it as bad criticism -- this is a great theme....it just really, really needs to be more user friendly given its target market.

Thanks
