Ok here is how to deal with this issue if your payment provider does not give you a url but just the form information to create a new "button" with and you want to use the awesome one that comes with the template you purchased.

1 - Create 2 new pages, one for your button and one for the exit page after the transaction is completed.
2 - Open both pages and take note of the url you will need this information.
3 - Go into your menu settings and delete the pages, because you don't want people clicking on them directly or them showing up on the menu.
4 - Open the page you created for the donation page and past the "form information" that paypal, payjunction or whomever sent it to you, or that you created on their site as a button into the html tab on that page. SAVE the page and if you refresh it now you will see the button exists on that page, add text pictures etc to make it look better and save again.
5 - Copy the url of that page you created with the custom html you pasted into the donate button url space on the theme options under donate button. Now when you click on that button it takes you to a "hidden" page on your own site with the button from paypal or wherever for them to enter their donation amount and be redirected to your secure gateway at paypal or payjunction or where ever you are using.
6 - Go into where you created the form information from and usually, at least with paypal and payjunction it asks for a url for an exit or receipt page. This is the other page you created and hopefully you wrote down the url for and obviously you added cool ty text and pics saying thanks for giving me money!

Basically all you have done is create two pages on your own site, hidden them, dumped the form info into the html editor on the one and made the other a nice exit page. Then you put the url for the button page into the donate button information and put the exit page information in the merchant account side of things and now you feel like a code ninja warrior!

Can you send a link to your site?

In your Menu manager, where you create the Donate link, use a Custom link to your paypal, and put "donate" as the CSS Class field for your Menu item.

The video tutorials on the web are gone and the only one that exists says "I'll show you how to customize the donate now button" but he never gets to it?
This is the last thing that I need to get fixed before I can go live - it's for a political campaign so the donate now thing is huge for the candidate.....
They want to link it to a PayPal account but I am lost here....
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Erik
